Open Days are back!

Hoooray!

We are now in a position to open Dacres Wood again for visits.  This is down to some great work by the Friends and volunteers with the help of Lewisham Council. We are delighted to be able to tell you that the site will be open on the following dates between 1pm-4pm.

Saturday 22nd May
Saturday 26th June
Saturday 31st July
Saturday 21st August
Saturday 25th September
Saturday 30th October

Please note that these dates and times are subject to change and last minute cancellations, please make sure you check the blog for updates before you leave. If the ‘roadmap out of lockdown‘ does not continue as planned after 17th May, we will update you here.

There will be no booking system, but please be mindful, if there are a lot of people on site when you arrive, you may be asked to wait and therefore please bring a mask with you just in case (unless you are exempt.). Also please still remember to give people 1m+ space when walking around the site.

We look forward to welcoming you back!

  1. Hi this is Sarah Ramm and I would love to come and visit Dacres Wood on the 22nd May please. It’s been on my list of places I’ve wanted to visit for a while.

  2. My son and I have lived on Dacres Road for 10 years. I have live in sydenham for all of my life and we used to go to the nature reserve with Adamsrill school.

I’m not always able to make the selected dates.
Is it possible to book a day in the week to come? I homeschool my son.

And he’s been asking for the last 6 years to go and I have no idea who I need to speak to.

I am away on a staycation with my family around the 31st July.

It’s so unfair that this place had to be locked up because people cannot respect nature.

Please let me know if its feasible to visit before 31st July. I’m happy to make a financial contribution (we love and respect nature that much ❤)

    1. Hi Leanca,

I am very sorry, but we are unable to open the site during the week. It is often hired by local groups. Keep an eye on the website for any other events which may be held during the summer which hopefully you will be able to make.

      Best wishes,

      FODWNR
