Hoooray!

We are now in a position to open the site again for visits. This is down to some great work by the Friends and volunteers with the help of Lewisham Council. We are delighted to be able to tell you that the site will be open on the following dates between 1pm-4pm.

Saturday 22nd May
Saturday 26th June
Saturday 31st July
Saturday 21st August
Saturday 25th September
Saturday 30th October

Please note that these dates and times are subject to change and last minute cancellations, please make sure you check the blog for updates before you leave. If the ‘roadmap out of lockdown‘ does not continue as planned after 17th May, we will update you here.

There will be no booking system, but please be mindful, if there are a lot of people on site when you arrive, you may be asked to wait and therefore please bring a mask with you just in case (unless you are exempt.). Also please still remember to give people 1m+ space when walking around the site.

We look forward to welcoming you back!

The site is open by the wonderful Friends Group and so if this is something you would like to be involved in, please email dacreswood@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to be involved, a member of the Friends will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. The opening of the site would not be made possible without the Friends giving up their time. They would always be interested in hearing from new potential members. Please contact them if you would be interested in helping.

How to Find Dacres Wood

We’re easy to miss!  We’re at the end of a drive called Honeyfield Mews which is off Dacres Road, Forest Hill, just past Catling Close on the right coming from Forest Hill, just before on the left if coming from Sydenham.  Here’s how Google Street view sees us

and finally a sketch map
